Julianne “Jules” Jock is an art teacher in the North Adams Public School System. She Studied Visual Arts, Illustration and teaching at GCC, PRATT Institute, Westfield State and UMASS. An animal lover, she creates these whimsical pet portraits of pets in action. She uses photos of the pets as her reference to sketch an outline in pencil and places the pet into a setting, then uses gouache and color-aide paper to make the work come to life. Infused with humor and style, these little portraits stand on their own as works of art.
